Mischievous Tradesmen and a Raging Epidemic

Tab Article

The grim subject, or topic of death, death- -related discussions, or burials, or burial- related issues, always appears to be offensive to living, mortal Man. Living, mortal Man, enjoying his life, surrounded with a lot of hopes, dreams, aspirations and exhilarating activities, does not want to be reminded about the reality of death. As we all journey on through life however; we all must, as mortal Men and women, make out time, periodically, to reflect on this inevitable reality that is a surety in everyone's life. This book, a play text, has the title: " MISCHIEVOUS TRADESMEN and A RAGING EPIDEMIC". It's storyline, is comically reflective on the subject of death, and the people that are in the profession of coffin - crafting. The book is about a set of carpenters, or rather, a set of coffin crafters in a particular community that were not doing well, financially, initially, in their wood - crafting trade and Job. But then, a series of deaths in the said vicinity, suddenly became the reason for the patronage and sudden boom of the wood- workers' business. The rest of the "story", is "hidden", in the contents of the work. The book, essentially, reveals to readers the ' bitter - sweet ' truth that, life, even when it is making some folks to cry and grieve; life could be making other people to laugh and be making merry - simultaneously.
