We are exposed to political tussles in an African country. Using an Imaginary country, Kibanda, which later changed to Kamberia, the story explored how monarchy arose and how the military took over, even as a pro-democracy group, the Democratic Movement, fought to institute democracy. The tragedies that emanated from the struggles of the Democratic Movement and the reactions of the citizens created moments of thought-provoking experiences that could best be described as traumatic. The anarchy of the military ignited a civilian coup. Different leaders died in dangerous circumstances and democracy became truncated. The supernatural forces came with intrigues to expose human follies. The story is laden with suspense, intrigue, humour, surprise, and metaphysical realism. It is incredibly gripping and full of intense episodes with cinematographic essence! The rise and fall of leaders, the struggle for democracy, and the eventual fragmentation of the country into six separate regions created a powerful narrative arc. -The Critical Discourse
