A Seat of Many Colours is a moving story of love, loss, faith, and resilience. Set in northern Ghana, it follows Abina and Kwame, whose deep love is shattered when Kwame disappears during a violent communal conflict. Refusing to believe he is dead without proof, Abina raises their daughter, Treasure, while building a new life through work, education, family, and migration. At the heart of her memories is the colourful seat Kwame gave her during her pregnancy a lasting symbol of their love, marriage, motherhood, and unwavering hope. Through Abina's journey, the novel explores enduring love, family, cultural identity, loss, and the power of hope across generations.
