Authors publishing in Boldscholar journals retain full copyright of their work.
Boldscholar does not require transfer of copyright. Instead, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work.
2. License to Publish
By submitting and accepting publication, authors grant Boldscholar a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable license to:
- Publish, reproduce, and distribute the article
- Make the article publicly available online
- Archive and preserve the article
- Identify itself as the original publisher
This license ensures dissemination while preserving author ownership.
3. Open Access Licensing
All articles in Open Access journals on Boldscholar are published under a Creative Commons license, clearly displayed on each article.

4. Rights Granted to Users

11. Legal Deposit to the National Library of Nigeria
Electronic copies of journals uploaded on Boldscholar:
- Shall constitute legal deposits to the National Library of Nigeria
- Shall be made accessible, at no cost, within designated National Library of Nigeria reading centres
12. Transparency and Compliance
Boldscholar journals commit to:
- Clearly displaying copyright and licensing information on all articles
- Providing machine-readable license metadata
- Maintaining compliance with international Open Access standards
