THE SILENT THRONE: Accountability and Peace

Tab Article

This play is based on Prophet Malachi in the Holy Scriptures. Malachi is inherently theatrical. While other prophetic books are filled with wild visions, Malachi is written as a series of intense, fast-paced arguments between a frustrated God, a cynical priesthood, and a broken community. It plays out like a gritty courtroom drama or a tense family intervention. Malachi is The Messenger, who is an enigmatic, uncompromised figure. He isn't a ecstatic visionary, but a sharp, relentless prosecutor speaking for Yahweh. The High Priest (representing the Priesthood) is jaded, corrupt, and defensive. He treats holy things like a grueling corporate job. While the Skeptics i.e. the Community, are a chorus of everyday citizens who are tired of waiting for a rescue that never comes. They are bitter, divorced, and financially desperate.
