Silver Moon is a contemporary psycho-romantic fiction novel for young adults. Eniola Craig, a teenager and only child of her parents, grows up in affluence. But there is turn of events after she accompanies her dad to a construction site where she sees people struggling hard to survive. Eniola is touched to help the poor. And the only way to achieve that is to live amongst the peasants, so Eniola declines studying abroad. And for that, her dad, Chief Craig Adetumi, disowns her after a serious altercation. Aunty Ireti, her aunt, wondered if Eniola, who is now staying with her can cope with the new life she chooses. And Eniola starts to impart to the lives of people with the money her mum sends to her. Life becomes tougher for Eniola at the university. She loses all the money she had to a robbery incident on her way to school, and accommodation to fraudsters. A young lady, Atinuke, takes her in against the wish of her roommate, Eloho, who is a thorn on Eniola’s flesh. Accommodating Eniola leads to a serious rift between Atinuke and Eloho who practically turns Eniola into her maid. Eniola sees her beauty as a curse, the reason Eloho hates her. Perhaps the curse is Wright, Eloho’s boyfriend, whom Eloho is obsessed about and protecting with her life from other ladies. Ever since he sets eyes on Eniola, he does not want to let go. It is either Eniola or his funeral. Infatuation pushes Wright, and he tells Eloho to help convince Eniola to be his girlfriend or she risks being his friend. Eloho, who is suffering from obsessive love disorder, in a bid to prove her unwavering love for Wright, never to leave him, engages in a discussion with Eniola to be Wright’s girlfriend. A discussion Eniola finds absurd. Eniola eventually succumb to the pressure from her friends, after all, it is Eloho’s wish. However, Eloho is seethes with envy and jealousy. The only way to keep her man is losing him to Eniola, her arch enemy. Collapsing after she catches Wright and Eloho right in the act coitus, Eniola feels betrayed because she loves him like her soul. And guilt sends Wright back to London to continue with his studies. The rivalry between Eniola and Eloho melts away when Eloho realizes that Eniola is from a wealthy home; they become friends. Years later, after her Master’s degree program from the United States, Eniola eventually becomes the CEO of her late dad’s company. She accommodates Eloho in her castle and builds a house for Eloho’s parent. Eniola also founds an orphanage which is named after her late dad. After several years, the battle rages on again, when Wright returns to Nigeria, this time, to pick a wife. And to survive the battle, Eniola needs protection from the silver moon, her source of energy and strength right from birth, against the monstrous fury Eloho will unleash to win her man back.
