This book, Historical and Contemporary Issues in Epie Atissa Nation, is essentially an attempt to document vital aspects of the socio-cultural and political events, experiences, issues as well as aspirations of the people of the twin kingdoms of Epie and Atissa, whose territory is the epicentre of the Bayelsa State capital, Yenagoa. Like every other ethnic nationality in Nigeria, Epie and Atissa have had their moments of glory and exaltation as well as moments of struggle and pain in all spheres of communal life, from colonial to contemporary times, as captured in this work.
