Ruqayya Salihi Bayero is a renowned author and entrepreneur from Kano City, Nigeria, with proud roots in the royal Fulani dynasty of Imam Dabo. She holds a degree in Islamic Studies from Bayero University, Kano, and has also received professional training in Administrative Management at ASCON, Badagry.

She is an active member of several professional bodies, including NAFET, ANA, MSS, FOMWAN, and Sisters’ Forum. In addition, she is an Associate Member of the Loan and Risk Chartered Institute (ACILRM) and a member of the African Leadership, Strategy, and Development School.

A trailblazer in education, Ruqayya made history as the first female student to enroll in the Pre-Degree Course in the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies at Bayero University, Kano. She later became the youngest principal of a secondary school in Kano State—achieving this milestone before the age of 30.

As the CEO of Zamsar Royal Enterprise, she oversees a diverse range of ventures, including ready-to-wear fashion, agro-allied products, interior decoration, educational consulting, and publishing. Her literary works include Children’s Garden, Distorted Truth, Every Woman is Unique, The Agony of a Mother, Gimbiya Ta Gari…, Iyalan Dabo Sarakan Zumunci, The Innocent Eye (a collection of short stories and poems), A Society Between Reason and Prejudice, and The Minaret.

A devoted family woman, Ruqayya is married and blessed with children and grandchildren. She enjoys reading, writing, listening to the radio, entrepreneurship, and traveling. Her favorite colors are blue, green, yellow, red, and aquamarine, with a fondness for copper, bronze, and gemstones. Above all, she values the well-being and happiness of those around her.
