Dr. Eziwho Emenike Azunwo holds a Doctoral Degree in Theatre Studies from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.

He serves as the Acting Head of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His administrative and academic leadership has significantly contributed to the development of the department.

He is a prolific playwright and scholar, having authored 74 plays, including notable works such as _Gbuji_, _Business_, _Owiri_ and _Suffering in Paradise_ . His research interests lie in contemporary drama and cultural narratives. He is the founder and editor of the RSU Journal of Theatre and Film Studies and Elegbakna Journal of Theatre and Film Studies, peer-reviewed journals that provide platforms for scholarly discourse in the field.

He has demonstrated exceptional leadership in academia, organizing conferences and workshops that have advanced the field of theatre studies in Nigeria. His mentorship has yielded numerous First Class graduates, and he has played a pivotal role in developing postgraduate programmme within the department.

Dr. Azunwo is committed to enhancing the academic infrastructure at Rivers State University. He has initiated the development of a departmental website to support students' learning and academic pursuits.

He is a devout Christian whose faith informs his academic and professional endeavors. He is married to Precious Uchechi Azunwo, a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, and they have two children.
