Impact of Research in Achieving Sustainable Growth and Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprise in Nigeria. (A Case Study of Selected Business Outlets in Ebonyi State).

Abstract

This study conducted an empirical investigation on the impact of research in achieving sustainable growth and development of small and medium scale enterprise in Nigeria using some selected small and medium scale business outlets in Ebony state. The study adopted survey method using questionnaire to obtain relevant information that was analysed using percentages.  Four point rating scale was used in the analysis. The result revealed that research has positive effect in the development and sustainability of enterprises studied. The result also revealed that it has significant impact on the enterprises in the study area. The paper amongst others recommended for establishment of full research departments in our tertiary institutions.
