This study investigated the Awareness of Learning Management System (LMS) for instructional delivery by the Faculty Members of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, the objectives are, to determine the level of awareness on the types of LMS by academic staff in ABU, Zaria, to identify the challenges encountered in utilizing LMS for instructional delivery by Faculty Members. Quantitative approach was adopted, cross-sectional survey research design was used, the population of the study are four hundred and seventy-four (474) Faculty Members, one hundred and sixty-seven (167) were used as a sample size, the researcher used questionnaire as the instrument for data collection and the data collected were analysed using descriptive statistical tools. The study inferred that, Moodle, Google classroom, Microsoft classroom and blackboard were the types of LMS with high level of awareness among academic staff of ABU, Zaria, also lack of technical support was the main challenge affecting the adoption of Learning Management system for instructional delivery by academic staff in the faculties of ABU, Zaria. The study recommended that; beyond sensitization programs (seminars, workshops and symposium among others), the Management of ABU, Zaria should consider using bulletins, newsletters, departmental and faculty social media platforms, and also incorporating LMS information on regular departmental, faculty and senate meetings, so that adequate awareness will be created on the LMS, also the Management of ABU, Zaria should create ICT unit under each Faculty that will be saddled with the responsibility of providing technical support to academic staff on LMS for teaching.
