Tricycle, as a form of urban transportation in Nigeria, play an important role in
transporting people over short distances. In Katsina City, the use of tricycles have long
been part of urban transportation that allows people to move from one area to another
However, since the performance of all three tires demonstrates that they are ineffective,
an evaluation of the road should be carried out, and this research has been carried out.
Responses collected during the study include information on road inventory, including
transport links, road congestion, connectivity measures and modal separation. The
following events: existing information, updates to existing Katsina Urban Area maps,
government documents, published and unpublished information. Some data are used in
words while in percentages. Pie charts and bar charts are used in the analysis.
According to this study, three wheelers have become the dominant mode of transport in
Katsina town and account for about 80 respondents which is 40% of the total traffic in
Katsina town. This type of transportation has many problems, including the lack of
parking spaces at the station, but there are also passengers who immediately object to
accidents, lack of control and management, bad roads, high risks and untrained drivers.
Work before starting a business Based on the findings, the study recommended and
addressed issues that should be included in the city's transportation policy to make our
wheels the safest, most efficient and effective public transportation system in Katsina
and Nigerian cities as a whole
