In an era where no single library can meet the information needs of divers users, cooperation among libraries become imperative. Libraries as access points to vast information resources are leveraging technology to collaborate and share resources. This is because resources sharing has transformed from traditional practices into dynamic system and technologies enabling delivery of information resources through platforms such as email, WhatsApp or any other social media Apps using mobile phones or computers connected to internet and facilitating access to information resources. This paper examined information resource sharing in traditional libraries in a changing worldand discussed the concept of information resources sharing, the needs for resources sharing; forms of resources sharing before the era of network connection or in traditional libraries, resources sharing in a changing world; benefits of resource sharing and challenges of resource sharing. The paper stresses the need for libraries to cooperate and participate in library networking for resource sharing.
