The study is on the information needs and seeking behaviour of nurses in the Federal Medical (IMC), Owerri. It examined the information needs and information-seeking behaviour of nurses in FMC, Owerri. In line with the purpose of the study, 4 research questions were posed and 2 null hypotheses were formulated. The research design adopted for the study was the survey design. The population of the study was 620 nurses working in FMC, Owerri out of which a sample of 206 was drawn. Data collection was through rating scale while analysis was done using mean and standard deviation for the research questions and the null hypotheses were tested using a paired sample t-test. Some of the findings of the study were that: nurses consult different information sources for their information needs to a high extent, nurses in FMC Owerri seek information to a high extent and there is a very low positive but not significant relationship between information needs and information-seeking behaviour of nurses. Some of the recommendations made by the researchers include: medical libraries should endeavour to provide their resources and services along the line of nurses' information needs, adequate and current information sources should be provided for nurses and also they should be sponsored to conferences, seminars and workshops.
