Abstract
This study investigated users’ satisfaction with circulation and current awareness services in university libraries in south-south, Nigeria. A survey research design was med. The population for the study 21.12 registered library users. Using accidental sampling techniques, a sample of 1, 58 registered library users were selected from six university libraries in the south-south zone for the study. The instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire method. The instrument was duly validated and the reliability estimates of its sub-variables using the Cronbach Alpha method ranged from 77 to 85. Two mill hypotheses were tested using population t-test analysis at the 05 alpha level. The results of the analysis revealed that users’ satisfaction with circulation and current awareness services in university libraries in south-south, Nigeria is significantly high. The study concluded that library users have high satisfaction with circulation and current awareness services in university libraries in south-south, Nigeria. The study recommends, among others, that for the university libraries in the south-south to maintain high-quality service delivery, authorities of university libraries should continue to advocate the procurement of current and relevant that would stimulate users’ satisfaction in all programmes offered by the universities.
