The need for Effective Staffing of School Libraries in Port Harcourt City Council Area of Rivers State seeks to examine the importance of staffing to the Attainment of the purpose, objectives and goals of school libraries. A survey research design was adopted in the study, the questionnaire was the instrument used in collecting data and data collected were assigned it was discovered that the present states of school libraries were mended by unqualified librarians and there were inadequate staff, and recommended that qualified librarian, skill and non-skill staff be engaged for the work if the school libraries for effective productivity.
