It is my great pleasure to present the current edition of our popular journal, which coincides with the NLA Annual Conference and General Meeting scheduled for 2nd - 7th July, 2023 in Akure. This edition contains nine articles on varied topical issues concerning Nigerian libraries, the profession and the professionals in the field.
Sequel to the exponential growth of scientific and scholarly literature globally, bibliometrics has increasingly become a specialized area of research significance. The first article on bibliometric analysis of the Journal of Humanities and Education by C.N Chukwuji and A.G Tsafe is thus a positive contribution to this interesting area of study. The next article by E.U.Omini focuses on securing technology for virtual collaboration and learning using cloud computing. This study is invaluable to academic institutions in Nigeria. The article by R.A Odiachi and E.A Urhefe-Okotie is a case study on institutional repositories as a tool for the promotion of scholarship.
