Editorial

Most of the studies focus on the situations in Nigerian university libraries, polytechnics and Colleges of Education. The first article by S.A Aliero and I.I Zuru is on the numerous challenges of accreditation in Nigerian university libraries, while the next one by V.O Emmanuel and I.I Ordu deals with the adoption of cloud computing technology with particular reference to a University of Education in Nigeria. The interest of Joy Ani and co-authors is on the use of social media networks for academic activities by students in Federal universities in the South East, Nigeria. Abdulmumini Muhammad and his two  authors discuss the offline databases provision in Federal university libraries in the North West, Nigeria, while Emo Okpidi-Urhibo is cocerned with the knowledge sharing and use among law library personnel in some Nigerian universities. The following article  by J.O Akidi and co- authors is a case study on the collection development practices in academic libraries with particular reference to Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic. However, the interest of A.G Tsafe and his two other collaborators is on the information needs of Nigerian youths with special reference to Zamfara State. In her contribution, Okogwu F.I investigated the use of newspapers by students of Ebonyi State College of Education. Last but not the least is a comparative study on the  career commitment of librarians in federal and state university libraries in Nigeria.
